The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) received a distinguished guest on a one-day working visit as the United States Consul-General, Will Stevens, toured the state-of-the-art Infectious Disease Center built by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) and handed over to RSUTH. Mr. Stevens not only praised the world-class facilities but also reaffirmed RSUTH as an excellent partner in healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
During the visit, Consul-General Stevens emphasized the pivotal role of RSUTH in healthcare, particularly lauding its great role during the covid pandemic.
In addition to praising the infrastructure, the Consul-General highlighted RSUTH’s leadership in healthcare data capture and integrity. He commended the hospital for its role in maintaining high standards, not only in data management but also in delivering quality healthcare services.
The Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Prof Chizindu A Alikor expressed gratitude for the recognition and expressed the commitment of RSUTH in strengthening the hospital’s relationship and collaborations with the US-CDC.
He specifically thanked His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, for his commitment and support towards improving healthcare service delivery in the Rivers State.
