Accreditation of Community Medicine Department

𝗥𝗦𝗨𝗧𝗛’𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 𝗕𝗬 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔

The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) has successful concluded the accreditation visit from the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria, Faculty of Public Health. Led by Professor C. Ogbonna, the accreditation team conducted a thorough assessment of RSUTH’s facilities, programs, and standards of healthcare delivery. 

The accreditation team was warmly welcomed by the Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all stakeholders involved in the preparation and execution of the accreditation process. In particular, Prof. Alikor extended his heartfelt thanks to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for his unwavering support and commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and education in the state. In his remarks, Professor Alikor highlighted RSUTH’s commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery and medical education. He emphasized that the accreditation visit was a rigorous but necessary process to ensure that RSUTH maintains high standards in training future healthcare professionals and providing quality patient care.

The successful completion of the accreditation process reaffirms RSUTH’s status as a leading institution in medical education and healthcare services in Rivers State and beyond.

RSUTH is eagerly awaiting the final results of accreditation. Success in this endeavor will further enable continuous development in infrastructure, expand research capabilities, and continue to attract top-tier faculty members and students. The hospital remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving healthcare.
