The office, Monday 20th November, 2023 opened her doors to receive visitations, memos etc.

 

1. BREAKTHROUGH IN BURNS AND PLASTIC SURGERY UNIT AT RSUTH WITH NEW DERMATONE AND MEDICAL DIODE LASER MACHINES FOR SPECIALIZED SKIN CARE: 

In a significant development, the Burns and Plastic Unit at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) has received a state-of-the-art dermatome machine and diode for advanced skin harvesting and specialized skin care.

 

The Acting Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Prof. Chizindu Akubudike Alikor, while making the presentation stated that the technological upgrade is poised to enhance the unit’s capabilities, marking a pivotal moment in the hospital’s commitment to providing top-notch care for burn victims and patients requiring specialized skin treatments.

 

Dr. Oti Nimi Aria, Head of the Burns and Plastic Unit, expressed gratitude as the unit welcomed the cutting-edge equipment. The acknowledgment was extended to the Acting Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Prof. Chizindu Akubudike Alikor, for spearheading the acquisition.

2. GOVERNOR FUBARA COMMISSIONS STATE-OF-THE-ART DENTAL, MAXILLO-FACIAL, ENT, AND OPHTHALMOLOGY HOSPITAL AS RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL ANNEX:

In a monumental stride toward advancing healthcare, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, officially commissioned the Dental, Maxillo-Facial, ENT, and Ophthalmology Hospital, a pivotal annex to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

The newly commissioned medical facility stands as a beacon of modern healthcare infrastructure, equipped with cutting-edge technologies and specialized services aimed at addressing the diverse healthcare needs of Rivers People. Governor Fubara’s commitment to the well-being of the residents of Rivers State is exemplified through this strategic expansion of healthcare services.

The Acting Chief Medical Director, Professor Chizindu Akubudike Alikor expressed gratitude, hailing Governor Fubara’s foresight in prioritizing the enhancement of medical capabilities. 3. THE ACTING CHIEF MEDICAL DIRECTOR RSUTH JOINS THE COMMISSIONING CEREMONY OF KELSEY HARRISON HOSPITAL IN RIVERS STATE.

In a significant healthcare milestone, the Acting Chief Medical Director of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), Prof. Chizindu Akubudike Alikor, attended the commissioning ceremony of the Kelsey Harrison Hospital by His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State.

 

Prof. Alikor was present to witness the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Kelsey Harrison Hospital, a facility poised to play a pivotal role in advancing healthcare services in Rivers State. THE Ag. CMD MEETS WITH ALL CONCERNED HEADS OF DEPARTMENT IN RSUTH TO EXPEDITE THE IMMEDIATE COMMENCEMENT OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES AT THE RECENTLY OPENED DENTAL, MAXILLOFACIAL, ENT (EAR, NOSE, AND THROAT), AND OPHTHALMOLOGY(EYE) HOSPITAL ANNEX OF RSUTH.

In a proactive move to fulfill the promise made by His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, the Acting Chief Medical Director (Ag. CMD) of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Prof. Chizindu Akubudike Alikor, convened a crucial meeting with all Heads of Departments concerned. The objective was to expedite the immediate commencement of healthcare services at the recently inaugurated Dental, Maxillofacial, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), and Ophthalmology hospital annex.
