Clinical Services and Medical Training commences at RSUTH Dental, Maxillofacial, ENT, and Ophthalmology Hospital, Rebisi (Garrison) Flyover

In a significant development for healthcare in Rivers State, the Dental, Maxillofacial, ENT, and Ophthalmology Hospital, an Annex of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), commenced operations just five days after its official commissioning by His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Rivers State.

The hospital, dedicated to specialized areas of dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care, as well as ophthalmology(eye), welcomed its first batch of patients amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and commitment. The Acting Chief Medical Director, Professor Chizindu Akubudike Alikor, was present on site, overseeing the seamless integration of medical teams and ensuring that all staff received the necessary support for optimal service delivery.

This state-of-the-art facility is poised to become a hub for specialized medical services in the region, catering to a wide range of healthcare needs. The timely commencement of operations underscores the dedication of the Management and entire healthcare team involved and the commitment of the state government to enhance medical services for the good of Rivers people.

As the hospital gears up to provide specialized care, it also aims to play a pivotal role in medical education and training. The inclusion of medical training programs will contribute to the continuous development of healthcare professionals, ensuring that Rivers State benefits from a well-trained and skilled workforce.

Patients can now access advanced dental care, maxillofacial surgeries, ENT treatments, and ophthalmic services in a purpose-built environment that prioritizes both patient comfort and medical excellence. The opening of the RSUTH Dental, Maxillofacial, ENT, and Ophthalmology Hospital marks a significant stride in bolstering the healthcare infrastructure of Rivers State, reflecting a broader commitment to the well-being of its residents.
