About Professor Dasetima D. Altraide: Chairman, RSUTH Management Board

Professor Dasetima D. Altraide is a Professor of Dermatology in the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Medical Sciences at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and a consultant Physician and Dermatologist at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) where he served as Head of Department of Medicine from 2016 to 2018. He also serves as the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (DCMAC) for Training at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH).

As an accomplished academician, Professor Altraide has contributed significantly to the body of medical knowledge with the publication of over 50 articles in both local and international peer-reviewed journals. His research, which has been presented both locally and internationally, reflects a commitment to advancing the understanding and treatment of dermatological conditions.

Professor Altraide is a Fellow, West African College of Physician (FWACP), and Fellow, Nigerian Association of Dermatologists where he serves as the 1st Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Dermatologists. He currently holds the position of Chairman, Board of Management of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH). In this capacity, he contributes to the strategic direction and management of the hospital, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services to the community.

Professor Altraide is married to Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Owanemi Dasetime-Altraide, and they are blessed with three children: Edward, Edwina, and Thierry.

Professor Dasetima D. Altraide is the Chairman Rivers State University Teaching Hospital Management Board.
