𝘿𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙂𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙁𝙍𝙊𝙈 𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙇 𝙋𝙊𝙎𝙏𝙂𝙍𝘼𝘿𝙐𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝙈𝙀𝘿𝙄𝘾𝘼𝙇 𝘾𝙊𝙇𝙇𝙀𝙂𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙉𝙄𝙂𝙀𝙍𝙄𝘼 𝙑𝙄𝙎𝙄𝙏𝙎 𝙍𝙄𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙎 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙃𝙊𝙎𝙋𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙇 (𝙍𝙎𝙐𝙏𝙃)

A delegation from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) led by the college president, Professor Akinsanya Osibogun, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director, Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH). The purpose of the visit was to intimate the CMD about the forthcoming ASCARF conference in 2024 in Rivers State. The meeting also afforded them the opportunity to strengthen collaborative efforts in medical education between the  prestigious institutions.

The visiting team also  comprises Professor Fatiu A. Arogundade, the Registrar of MPMCN,  Prof CN Mato, Prof Aaron Ojule, Prof Rosemary Ogu, Prof Omitola and Professor Chituru Orluwene, the Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Rivers State University.

They were warmly welcomed by the Acting Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Professor Chizindu A. Alikor, along with members of  management and some heads of departments.

Professor Osibogun expressed his enthusiasm about the state  of the art medical facilities seen as the team took a short tour of the hospital, highlighting benefits the facilities could bring to medical education, patient care, and community health in Rivers State and beyond.

Professor Alikor, on behalf of RSUTH, expressed gratitude for the visit and reiterated the hospital’s commitment to advancing medical education, research and healthcare delivery in the region. He emphasized the importance of such collaborations in enhancing the skills and knowledge of medical professionals, ultimately leading to improved healthcare outcomes for the people of Rivers State.

This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening the ties between NPMCN and RSUTH, promising a future of innovative medical advancements and enhanced healthcare services for the people of Rivers State.
