Professor Chizindu Alikor has been appointed as the new Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital by the Executive Governor of Rivers State His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS.
The appointment was announced in a statement signed by the Press Secretary, Rivers State Ministry of Health, Ednah Alete.
Prof Alikor takes over from Dr Friday E. Aaron DSSRS who has completed his five years tenure.
He was a former chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association, Rivers State Chapter. Chizindu Alikor, is a Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist.
He was once a Senior Lecturer, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH and Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Rivers State.
Until his elevation as Acting Chief Medical Director, CMD of RSUTH, he is the Head of Department, HOD, Internal Medicine of the institution.
