In a heartwarming Christmas gesture, Her Excellency Mrs. Valerie Fubara, the First Lady of Rivers State and wife of Executive Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, visited the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital – RSUTH today. The visit aimed to spread joy and celebrate the festive season with parents of newborns in the postnatal wards.

The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of special Christmas gifts to the “star baby,” the first newborn of Christmas day. Mrs. Fubara also extended her generosity by presenting gifts to other babies in the ward, creating a festive atmosphere for families in the hospital.

Expressing gratitude, Prof. Chizindu A. Alikor, the Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, thanked the First Lady for her thoughtful visit. Prof. Alikor also extended profound appreciation to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, for his unwavering commitment to providing quality healthcare for the people of Rivers State.

The First Lady’s visit not only brought smiles to the faces of the newborns and their parents but also underscored the importance of compassion and community during the holiday season.
