The official Commissioning of RSUTH Renal Centre and House Officers Quarters by His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. 30/11/2022

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has today 30th November, 2022 commissioned the Renal Centre and House Officers Quarters of the State University Teaching Hospital, built and equipped by his administration.

The Governor and his entourage were joyfully received by the Board, Management, Staff, the entire hospital community and the good people of Rivers State.

The Renal Centre according to the Chief Medical Director CMD of the hospital Dr. Friday E Aaron, will take care of Kidney diseases such as End stage Renal diseases that would require replacement Therapy by way of Dialysis and Transplant, Kidney stones and others; above all it will serve as an observatory for Renal care in the State. It is equipped with 7 Dialysis Machines, with provisions for infectious cases, Peritoneal dialysis machine for children, two fully equipped Theatre Suites for Donor & Recipient Surgeries, C-arm, Endosecopy for Minmal Access Renal surgeries, Lasser for Lithotripsy. Etc. The House Officers Quarters is built to standard as confirmed by the re- accreditation team of the MDCN with more than the basic furnishings.
