During the visit, Prof. Omonisi discussed cancer management in society and the collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). The team explored ways to work together to improve oncological care in the state. The CMD was praised for his exceptional organizational skills and contributions to the medical space.

Commemorating World Cancer Day:

The NCS President also revealed plans to commemorate World Cancer Day on February 4th, with Rivers State chosen to represent the South-South region for the awareness campaign. The CMD expressed his commitment to supporting the NCS in this endeavour.

The CMD thanked the NCS for the honour and congratulated the Federal Ministry of Health for establishing the oncological MDT. He also commended Prof. Omonisi for the visibility of NCS, assuring that Rivers State would be vibrantly committed to the fight against cancer.
