The Nigerian Universities Nursing Students Association (NUNSA) has paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), expressing gratitude for the hospital’s support and exploring avenues for future collaboration.

The delegation, led by the association’s president, Uriah Ima-Awaji Oboada, visited the hospital to appreciate the leadership of RSUTH for providing a platform for nursing students to undergo clinical training. The visit also aimed to strengthen the relationship between NUNSA and the hospital, particularly in the area of sponsorship and partnership for upcoming student-led health initiatives.

President Oboada emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration and sought advice and assistance for future programs aimed at improving healthcare awareness and student development.

Receiving the delegation, the Chief Medical Director Prof. Chizindu Alikor commended NUNSA for its proactive engagement and praised the team for their commitment to the profession. He acknowledged their contributions during the Health Week and described their efforts as a form of giving back to the community.

The CMD encouraged the students to remain dedicated to their studies and the nursing profession, advising them to uphold ethical standards, continue improving themselves, and make meaningful impacts in their communities. He further assured the association of RSUTH’s willingness to support them in future initiatives.

The visit marks a renewed chapter of cooperation between NUNSA and RSUTH, aimed at fostering academic and professional excellence.
