Professor Chizindu Alikor, Chief Medical Director of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), has visited Redeemer’s Health Village (RHV) at the Redemption City of God of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State for a tour of its facilities.

The visit follows the first tele-robotic surgery performed at RHV, marking a significant milestone in the hospital’s adoption of advanced medical technology. Robotic-assisted surgery enables surgeons to perform procedures with enhanced precision and control, while tele-robotic technology can facilitate remote surgical operations under appropriate clinical and technical arrangements.

A key highlight of the visit was a special interface between Prof. Alikor and Dr Adedamola Dada, Chief Executive Officer of RHV. Their engagement provided an opportunity to exchange professional insights on healthcare leadership, institutional development and the integration of technology into modern medical practice.

During the tour, Prof. Alikor also inspected key clinical areas and facilities, gaining insight into the hospital’s infrastructure, medical equipment and specialised healthcare services.

The visit underscores the value of professional collaboration and technological innovation in advancing healthcare delivery and improving patient outcomes.
