This season of Easter calls for sober reflections, reminding Christians of the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ at the Cross of Calvary and His subsequent resurrection. Therefore, as we celebrate the joy and hope of Easter, I extend my greetings in the most sincere manner to the entire Staff and Management of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, as well as to Christians across Nigeria and beyond.

This season, no doubt, reminds us of sacrifice, renewal, compassion, and the triumph of life over death, as demonstrated by Christ. These values resonate deeply with our calling as healthcare professionals to preserve life, to care with empathy, and to serve humanity with unwavering dedication, just as we have been doing since I assumed office as your CMD.

To our dedicated staff, I sincerely commend your profound resilience, professionalism and sacrifices in ensuring quality healthcare delivery, even in the most challenging circumstances. Your service reflects the very essence of the Easter message: selflessness, hope and restoration.

Similarly, to our patients and the wider Christian community, may this sacred season bring healing, peace, and renewed strength. As Christ’s resurrection symbolizes new beginnings, may we all embrace hope, unity, and a recommitment to genuine service to God and humanity.

Importantly, I urge us to continue to work together to build a healthier society that is inspired by the virtues of love, sacrifice, and compassion that Easter represents.

I gladly join the hosts of heavens and other well-meaning individuals to wish you all a blessed, peaceful, and joyful Easter celebration.

Happy Easter!
